Hi, I'm Joshua Balbi — a software engineer with a unique background in both mechanical engineering and computer science, currently pursuing my Master’s in Computer Engineering at Florida Atlantic University.
My passion lies at the intersection of hardware and software, where I build tools, applications, and systems that bridge the physical and digital worlds. Whether it's developing cross-platform mobile apps, integrating real-time sensor data into responsive interfaces, or optimizing control systems for smarter automation, I’m driven by the challenge of turning innovative ideas into working solutions.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from Tufts University, where I developed a strong foundation in system design, algorithmic thinking, and hands-on problem-solving. I also minored in Mathematics and Engineering Management.
Now, as a graduate student at Florida Atlantic University, I’m diving deeper into topics like:
My portfolio includes:
Some favorite projects include an energy-saving automated window system and the One Piece Mini-Game Hub, a mobile app built with Dart and Flutter.
If you're working on something exciting — especially in IoT, mobile/web development, or automation — I’d love to hear about it.
